Iverson Named Player of the Week

(Boulder-CO) Allen Iverson was named the Western Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday, Dec. 31 through Sunday, Jan. 6 today by the NBA. Iverson led the Nuggets to a 3-0 week, as they defeated the Spurs, Timberwolves and 76ers with AI averaging 33.3 points over that stretch. Iverson shot .531 from the field, .471 from distance and .923 from the foul line, while logging 43.6 minutes per game.
Here are Allen Iverson's complete boxscores for all three games he is being honored for:
Jan. 3 vs. San Antonio: Scored 29 points on 10-of-18 shooting and added three assists in Denver’s 80-77 win over the Spurs.

Jan. 4 at Minnesota: Tallied 33 points, three rebounds and four assists as the Nuggets posted a 118-107 win over the Timberwolves.

Jan. 6 vs. Philadelphia: Poured in 38 points and dished out eight assists in a 109-96 win over the 76ers.

AI is a true inspiration to those of us that were born with any type of disadvantage.

He is often the smallest guy on the court but he is able to dominate in a Game that automatically gives the tall or big guy the advantage.

That's why I hope the rest of the NUGGETS follow his lead by example and the size of his HEART and leave it all out on the court.
