Consequentially Fined

(FortCollins-CO) The NBA has officially fined Kenyon Martin $15,000 for his inappropriate conduct and language, including the use of profanities, towards a fan at the home game against Chicago last week.

Surprising to the Nugg Doctor is the fact that no police report has been filed to date and this reprimand is solely the actions of the league. Kenyon Martin has also had run-ins with the local media recently. No actions have been taken in the altercation with the media.

"the use of profanities, towards a fan" I heard that the fan was yelling explitives at K-Mart and an espn reporter happened to hear Kenyon fire back. Why wasn't that fan kicked out? The team had your boy Dino "you hurt my feelings" Costa ejected from the locker room and revoked his pass. And coach Karl shrugged off the incident saying that Kenyon is an emotional guy like he is. Maybe you should follow coach Karl's stance on this one.

Are you kidding me? A police report for cussing at a fan?
The Doctor doth protest too much.

In response to Pizzadahutt:

I dont make the news, I just report it for the fans. Fans are fans, and I hope appropriate actions were taken against them in this case. The athlete is the unfortunate one in this position because they are expected to let things that fans say roll off their back, no matter how offensive a fan is conducting themselves. The best thing to do in this case is to alert player security and let them do their job. Kenyon is a passionate guy and wears his heart on his sleave. Save that passion for the games, like he has been doing, and let an idiot fan be just that...an idiot. Be the professional in the situation and let your play do the talking.

Once again in reply to Pizza:

Thought that it was implied, not to mention written on the back of every sporting event ticket.

Unfortunatley I did not get to see this bad mouthing that occured. Was it bad? I bet it was a real show. Im glad that the police are going to take further actions before they stick any kind of punishment on him. Doesnt everyone get heated once in a while. These postings are great for conversation that I enojoy. Thanks and please continue to blog.
